The Academy Awards first started at the Roosevelt Hotel which is 1 block from us. Nowadays they take place at the Dolby Theatre (formerly the Kodak Theatre) right next door in the Hollywood & Highland Center. Also on our block is the Loews Hollywood Hotel (formerly the Renaissance Hotel), the world famous TCL Chinese Theatre (formerly Grauman's Chinese Theatre), the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and the Hollywood/Highland Metro Station with Univeral Studios and Pantages Theatre just one metro stop away (10 minutes by car). Within 2-3 blocks are the Hollywood Bowl, the Magic Castle, and Yamashiro.  We are close driving distance to Cedars Sinai Hospital, Children's Hospital and Kaiser Permanente.
